A hospital built for the whole visit
Exams, in-house diagnostics, dentistry and surgery all happen in our own building in Mountain Green, so a sick dog or cat can often get answers in a single visit. Our in-house pharmacy keeps common medications and prescription dog food in stock, so prescriptions can go home with you.

Care starts with a nose-to-tail exam. If your pet needs tests, our laboratory, digital X-ray and ultrasound are right here in the building, and we take and read X-rays on site.

Dentistry
Dental cleanings are done under anesthesia with full-mouth dental X-rays, because the tooth roots and jaw are where most dental disease hides. We pull a tooth only when it needs to come out.

Surgery
We do spays and neuters, soft-tissue surgery, and lump and mass removal in our own surgical suite, with an anesthetic plan built for your pet and vital signs monitored from start to finish. Every surgery starts with an exam and an estimate you approve.

Mtn Green Animal Hospital is doctor-owned and woman-owned. Dr. Nicole Sorensen and Dr. Dani Poll co-founded it, opened the doors in Mountain Green in September 2025, and are the veterinarians who examine your pet. Decisions about your pet’s care are made in the exam room, by the doctor standing in front of you.
Emergency or sick visit needed right now? Call before you come in
If your pet is hurt or suddenly ill and it cannot wait, call (801) 516-7004 before you head over. A call ahead lets us have a room, a doctor and the right equipment ready the moment you arrive, and we always try to make room for a pet in need. We see urgent and emergency cases during business hours when our staffing and hospital space allow, and we will tell you straight whether to come in now or whether a 24-hour emergency hospital is the right place. Whatever the visit, we talk through any tests or treatment, and what they cost, before we start.
Everything else, from a sick or limping pet to one that is scratching or off their food, is a big part of what we do, so book a sick or urgent visit any time, or call and we will find you a spot. We fit them in as soon as the schedule allows, often within a day, and we will tell you honestly if it should not wait. After hours, established clients can call for help when a provider is available.

Where our clients drive from
We are just off I-84 at Exit 92, at the mouth of Weber Canyon. From Ogden or Layton the drive is about 20 minutes, and Morgan County, the Ogden Valley and the nearest cities in Weber and Davis counties are within about 25 minutes of our door. We care for dogs and cats from Evanston, Farmington, Kaysville, Layton, Morgan, North Ogden, Ogden, the Ogden Valley, Riverdale, Roy, South Weber, Summit County and Syracuse.

What types of pets do you treat?
We care for dogs and cats only.
What are your hours?
Monday 8 AM to 9 PM, and Tuesday through Friday 8 AM to 6 PM. We are closed Saturday and Sunday.
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes. New patients are welcome. Call or book online for your pet’s first visit.
Do you work with pet insurance?
Most pet insurance plans pay you back after you pay for the visit, so we give you a detailed invoice to submit with your claim. If you are not sure what your plan covers, we can help you figure out which parts of the visit are usually reimbursable.

Dr. Nicole Sorensen, DVM
Dr. Sorensen is a compassionate veterinarian and graduate of the Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine through the WIMU Regional Program, where she built a strong foundation in both the science and art of veterinary care. Inspired by a lifelong passion for working with animals, she is dedicated to providing high-quality, individualized care in a calm and supportive environment where pets and their people feel heard and respected. Treating every animal as if they were her own, Dr. Sorensen combines medical expertise with genuine compassion, whether performing routine exams, managing complex conditions, or guiding new pet owners, all while enjoying quality time with her family outside of work.
Dr. Dani Poll, DVM
Dr. Dani Poll is a skilled and compassionate veterinarian who graduated from The University of Edinburgh and is deeply committed to providing high-quality animal care and client education. Known for her curiosity, dedication, and love of learning, she is passionate about teaching—whether mentoring future veterinary professionals or helping pet owners understand their pets’ health so they can make informed decisions with confidence. Outside the clinic, Dr. Poll enjoys traveling and exploring new cultures, experiences that continually enrich her personal growth and professional approach to veterinary medicine.
