Sixteen minutes, mostly one freeway
Point yourself at I-84 East. The freeway carries you past the canyon mouth and into Weber Canyon, and Exit 92 puts you on W Old Highway Road a minute from 5714 W Canyon View Cir Suite A in Mountain Green.
Distance is a poor guide to how a drive feels. Twelve point nine miles of interstate moves at a steadier pace than a shorter run through town, so the clock and the odometer disagree in your favor.
Fitting a visit into a working week
Our Monday runs 8 AM to 9 PM. Tuesday through Friday we are open 8 AM to 6 PM, and we are closed Saturday and Sunday. Booking is online, availability shows 45 days ahead, and you can pick the slot that suits the drive rather than taking whatever a phone call turns up.
Procedure days work the same way. A dental cleaning or a spay or neuter means dropping off and collecting later, which is a short round trip from Roy on either side of a workday rather than a morning spent waiting.

Two doctors, and you meet them both over time
Dr. Nicole Sorensen and Dr. Dani Poll co-founded this hospital and see patients in it. That is the whole clinical roster, which is what makes continuity possible: the veterinarian who felt a lump in March is the one comparing it in September, and the history is remembered rather than reconstructed from a file.
The building is small and quiet on purpose. Dogs and cats read a room before anyone touches them, and a calm arrival tends to produce an honest examination, which is worth more than any single test.
The medicine on offer
Wellness exams and vaccinations keep the routine moving. Dentistry covers cleanings, dental radiographs, extractions and dental surgery. Our own laboratory, digital X-ray and ultrasound mean diagnostics start the same visit.
Laser therapy supports recovery and sore joints. Senior pet care gets its own attention as dogs and cats age. When something cannot wait, we see urgent cases and provide emergency care during business hours: call (801) 516-7004 from the road so we can prepare.
Questions from Roy pet owners
How far is Mtn Green Animal Hospital from Roy?
About 16 minutes and 12.9 miles by I-84 East, leaving the freeway at Exit 92 for Mountain Green.
Is the drive realistic on a weekday?
Monday appointments run as late as 9 PM, and Tuesday through Friday we are open 8 AM to 6 PM. Because the route is freeway rather than surface streets, the trip is predictable at the hours most people travel.
Do you see cats as well as dogs?
We care for dogs and cats, and nothing else. Tell us when you book if your cat travels badly and we will plan the arrival around it.
What does a first appointment cost?
A full doctor physical exam and consultation is $70. Vaccine, laboratory and imaging fees are published on the pricing page, and anything beyond the exam is quoted once a doctor has examined your pet.
How do I make an appointment?
Book online at any hour, or call (801) 516-7004 while we are open. New dog and cat patients are welcome.
