Two ways east out of Syracuse

Google Maps offers the trip either by Antelope Drive or by UT-193 East, and both feed the same eastward run toward the mouth of Weber Canyon and Exit 92 for Mountain Green. W Old Highway Road finishes the job at 5714 W Canyon View Cir Suite A. The measured distance is 16.7 miles and about 25 minutes in usual traffic.

Pick whichever of the two your morning already uses. Neither adds a mountain pass, and the final miles are freeway.

Building the appointment around the drive

Online booking shows genuine availability for the next 45 days, so you can place the visit where the drive fits: a Monday evening as late as 9 PM, or a mid-morning slot Tuesday through Friday while we are open 8 AM to 6 PM. We are closed Saturday and Sunday, which is worth knowing before a weekend plan forms.

Tell us at booking what you want covered. Twenty-five minutes of driving should not buy a five minute appointment, and knowing in advance that the visit includes a limp, a lump and a vaccine lets us give it the right amount of room.

Procedure days are worth planning the same way. A dental cleaning or a spay or neuter is a drop-off and a collection rather than a sit-and-wait, and knowing that in advance turns one long morning into two short trips east.

Cats travel differently to dogs

A car journey is the hard part of veterinary care for a lot of cats, and 25 minutes of it deserves preparation. A carrier left open at home for a few days, a familiar blanket inside, and a seatbelt through the handle usually beat a last minute struggle at the door.

Say when you book that your cat travels badly. We can plan the arrival so the carrier spends less time in a waiting area, and the examination itself moves at the cat's pace. The building is quiet, which does more for a nervous animal than any technique.

The care that follows

The everyday work is wellness examinations, vaccinations matched to how your pet actually lives, and dentistry with dental radiographs. A full doctor physical exam and consultation is $70, with the rest of the posted fees on our pricing page.

Behind that sit an in-house laboratory, digital X-ray and ultrasound, plus spay and neuter and other surgery in our own suite. For something sudden during the day, call (801) 516-7004 and we will tell you what to do next.

How far is Mtn Green Animal Hospital from Syracuse?

About 25 minutes and 16.7 miles, using Antelope Drive or UT-193 East and finishing at Exit 92 for Mountain Green.

Which route should I take?

Either works. Google Maps quotes the same overall time by Antelope Drive and by UT-193 East, so use the one you already know.

My cat hates the car. Can you help?

Yes. Mention it when you book. We plan the arrival around a stressed cat rather than being surprised by one, and the building stays quiet by design.

We are, dogs and cats. Book online, or call (801) 516-7004 during office hours.
