Before any procedure, you will also complete a pre-surgery form that records your instructions for the rare case we cannot reach you. Your wishes, in writing, ahead of time.

Will My Pet's Personality Change?

No. Playfulness, affection, and the quirks that make your pet who they are do not come from reproductive hormones. What often fades are the hormone-driven behaviors most owners are glad to lose: roaming after scents, urine marking, and some forms of aggression between males.

Will My Pet Gain Weight?

Metabolism does ease off somewhat after surgery, but weight gain is not inevitable. A modest adjustment to portions and regular activity keeps most pets at a healthy weight, and your veterinarian can help you calibrate at any visit.

What Is Pyometra?

Pyometra is a life-threatening infection of the uterus, most common in older unspayed females, and it typically arrives suddenly in the weeks after a heat cycle. Does a Female Need One Litter First?
